Our Mission
Come and See is a not-for-profit religious educational organization that supports underserved theology students in the study of ancient biblical history with the goal of furthering knowledge for the benefit of local communities.
Trip Purpose
Come and See’s biblical study trips aim to bring the Bible to life early in a person’s life rather than when they are in their 40s or beyond and have the financial means themselves.
Study Trip Goals
- Teach study participants the basic facts of archaeology.
- Introduce participants to the geography of the Bible.
- Immerse participants in the culture of the Bible.
- Connect the ancient text of the Bible to the present culture, geography, and archeology of Israel.
- Experience actual life in present day Israel.
Our Journey
For many years we have had the desire to bring Christians to Israel long before we were able to go in our mid-30s or later. After consulting with many people, it is apparent that starting a non-profit is a very good way to accomplish this. As “Come and See” grows, we plan to provide scholarships so that Independent Baptist college-trained twenty-somethings can study with an Independent Baptist college professor and an Independent Baptist pastor in Israel on 15- to 17-day Study Trips. The non-profit corporation has been formed, the board of directors has agreed to serve, and we have been approved (determined) by the IRS to be a 501(c)3 charitable organization. This is the start of a journey…
